HARD HAT OPTIONS
TYPE 1 vs TYPE 2
Type 1 hard hats are only designed to protect workers from objects and blows that come from above and strike the top of a helmet. This form of impact, for example, may result from a hammer or nail gun falling from above. Type 2 hard hats are designed to offer protection from lateral blows and objects. This includes from the front, back, and side as well as from the top. This form of impact, for example, may result from contact with the sharp corner of a side beam.
CLIMBING HARD HATS
"The Rocky" hard hats are designed for people working at high heights, in tight or confined spaces, rock climbers, or rescue teams. This polycarbonate hard hat is ultra light with no brim allowing for unobstructed upper vision, and comes complete with CSA certification. Made with "Sure-Lock" ratchet system and shock resistant poly shell.
VENTED HARD HATS
A vented hard hat will help minimize heat buildup under its shell. Vents allow rising heat to escape, keeping a worker much cooler than a traditional, unvented helmet. (It's worth noting that not everyone can wear a vented safety helmet because they don't provide any electric insulation protection.)
WELDING HARD HATS
"The Stromboli" dome-style hard hats are designed for welding and work environments that require heat resistant safety products. Complete with CSA certification and made with the durable Sure-Lock system and tough polycarbonate shell.
